CEC FOR HEALTH AND SANITATION ACKNOWLEDGES THE ROLE PLAYED BY VOLUNTEERS IN IMPROVING THE LIVES OF NANDI RESIDENTS

Nandi County CEC for Health and Sanitation Ruth Koech has acknowledged the role played by volunteers in improving the lives of Nandi residents.

She was speaking when she toured Kapsabet County Referral Hospital where she met with a team of Kapsabet residents who volunteered to do a litter pick and bush clearing at the facility.

According to the county executive; for significant transformation to take place in the county, residents have a role to play in uplifting the standards of living.

She commended the volunteers for their endless hours that they spent working in ensuring that our hospital is clean.

“I am truly amazed by the work that you are all doing. I know that work is challenging. So I want to thank you all for volunteering to do it, and to make personal sacrifices in the name of service,” said Ruth.

On his part, the team leader Mr. Abdi Keter said, “Cleaning the county referral hospital also presents us with an opportunity to contribute back into the community and teach everyone that cleanliness is an important part of us all,” said Abdi.
