NANDI COUNTY RECEIVES PPEs FROM EQUITY GROUP FOUNDATION TO AID IN THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID – 19

The County Government of Nandi has upscaled its preparedness to combat coronavirus pandemic through a donation of PPEs Equity Group Foundation.

The consignments include disposables gowns, surgical masks, N95 respiratory masks, nitrile gloves, head/hair covers, shoe covers and gumboots.

The equipment is intended to ensure that the frontline workers are not infected with the disease in the line of duty.

The event was graced by Governor Stephen Sang and Chief Commercial Officer (COO) in Equity Bank Polycarp Igathe took place at Nandi Hills County Hospital where equipment such as surgical face masks, gloves, gumboots and gowns were issued.

Igathe lauded the County Government of Nandi for being at the forefront of protecting her health workers and also for establishing the Nandi Hills Isolation Center.

Governor Sang, while receiving the donations, thanked Equity Bank for the donation which he said would go a long way in cushioning health workers against infection as they worked in their respective workplaces.

Present at the event were CEC for Health Ruth Koech, Nandi Hills Ward MCA Hon. Gideon Koech.
