
Nandi County Welcomes State Officials for Site Identification of Ultra-Modern Stadium, Advancing President’s Directive
Following the President’s directive to build an ultra modern stadium in Kapsabet, the County Government of Nandi welcomed officials from the state Department of Sports who visited the county for a site identification mission for the construction of this stadium.
Led by W. Kataka, the technical team embarked on a mission to identify the ideal site for the modern sports facility. Among the places thoroughly examined was Kapsabet showground and its surroundings to determine the best location for construction.

County Secretary Dr. Francis Sang warmly received the team and commended the ministry for taking this step towards constructing a modern sports stadium right at heart of the Source of Champions. He noted that this facility would serve as a training ground for local and international sports heroes and heroines.

Gabriel Komora, Deputy Director of Technical Services, expressed the Ministry’s recognition of Nandi County as the Source of champions. He emphasized the importance of having a modern stadium to nurture athletes and various sports disciplines, emphasizing the Ministry’s readiness to collaborate closely with the county government in talent development through sports.
